Our Partners

 

Fair Deal works with a number of professional partners in the course of our everyday work. Each partner brings a wealth of experience and a significant degree of committement to supporting Fair Deal.

They have values which reflect those of Fair Deal and all work flexibily and creatively in their different ways to inspire our staff and support our vision.

We will continue to work with a range of partners as necessary to further our work and recognise the value of their contribution.

 

Anne-Marie Monaghan

Anne-Marie is an independent consultant with significant experience of working in the social care and community development sectors. She worked for over 10 years in the voluntary sector in a range of community based projects prior to working with Glasgow City Council where she remained for about 15 years, retiring in March 2010.

Anne-Marie initially trained and graduated as a Youth and Community Worker and has a BA in Community Education. She also has qualifications in Social Work Management. More recently she has completed an MSc in Advanced Professional Studies at Strathclyde University and is now doing a PhD at Caledonian University. This she does with trepidation!

The jobs she has held include Commissioning Manager for Glasgow Learning Disability Partnership, The Head of Learning Disability in Glasgow East CHCP and most recently she led in the development of the self directed support work alongside her job share partner in Glasgow.

Anne-Marie has supported Fair Deal in a range of ways in the preparation for personalisation and self directed support. Anne-Marie likes to start off her day with a swim and works hard at keeping fit!

 

 

John Ithell

John Ithell established an independent consultancy in Scotland in 1996 operating as a sole trader providing a wide range of tailored services to the statutory, voluntary and social economy sectors. Assignments have included work on governance, organisational development, change management, feasibility studies, evaluations, quality assurance systems, research, business & strategic planning and mentoring.
John has over twenty years of experience in human resource management and organisation development work in the health service. On a voluntary basis he has served on 5 Boards of Directors and 3 Management Committees and has established 3 charities.
Latterly John was a Director for Renfrewshire Association for Mental Health, chairing the Board for four years and now volunteers as a primary school rugby coach. 

 

 

 

Gordon Allan

Gordon works for Unity Bank which is a bank with ethical values. They are Fair Deal's Bankers and as a specialist bank for charities, voluntary organisations and social enterprises, Unity Trust Bank is dedicated to providing the right banking solutions to its social economy clients, enabling them to concentrate on delivering their goals.

Gordon Allan is the regional manager in Scotland for Unity Trust Bank. His role is to provide relationship management to Unity's customer base

 

 

Alison Devine

 
The face of Alison who is Fair Deals Auditor

Allison is an associate of Alexander Sloan, a long established Chartered Accountancy Firm with Offices in Glasgow and Edinburgh, which sepcialises in the provision of accountancy, audit (internal and external), payroll and advisory services to charitable organisations.
Alison graduated from Strathclyde University in 1999 with a B.Sc.in mathetmatics, statistics and accounting. She qualified as a chartered accountant in 2002. Alison is a key member of Alexander Sloan's Charities Technical and Training Group and has extensive experience of working with organisations in the charitable sector. She is also a Trustee of a Glasgow based charity and therefore has experience of matters which affect charitable organisations from a Trustee's point of view as well as that of an external advisor.
Alison has been privileged to lead Alexander Sloan in their work wioth Fair Deal since 2003.

 

Lesley Hurst

Lesley Hurst is a solicitor and works with TC Young. They are a very reputable organisation recognised as approved solicitors by Glasgow City Council in relation to Adults with Incapacity Cases. Lesley is the Private Client Partner and is on Glasgow Sherrif Court's list of Safeguarders, appointed by the Sheriff to represent the interests of the incapacitated adult in court. She assists people through the process of granting Power of Attorney or loved ones applying to be Guardians - either welfare, financial or both.
