Volunteer Recruitment

Roy the Volunteer Coordinators Face

Fair Deal Volunteer Project has enjoyed a very busy first year.  We now have 19 volunteers regularly engaged within Fair Deal.   Our team of volunteers boasts a very successful mix of members of the local community, staff of Fair Deal and people with learning disabilities all working together. In addition, 6 adults with learning disabilities now regularly volunteer for other organisations as a direct influence of the work of the project.

We are excited about developing our successes further over the coming months and look forward to recruiting new volunteers to get involved with what we do. Our priority is about supporting people with learning disabilities to have good lives and to have their contribution to communities recognised like everyone else does.

If you are interested in any volunteering work with us please contact Roy Campbell (pictured right) who will be happy to chat with you about it. He can be contacted on 0141-634-4996.

ProjectScotland is the National Charity which helps young people realise their potential through volunteering. The opportunity is to volunteer for a minimum of three months for 30 hours per week and is open for anyone between 18 and 25 years old to apply.     In return you will get a great experience and help towards your travelling expenses.    You will also get the support of a dedicated manager and mentoring to make sure you get the most out of the experience.

We are looking for someone to volunteer as a sports champion to help support the leisure and sports programme offered by Fair Deal to people with learning disabilities.    We are also looking at volunteer marketing gurus who will be involved in the design of marketing materials and may organise a fund raising event.
