Fair Deal works hard to make sure the information we produce is easy to understand. To do this we use easy to understand words and plain English. We avoid using jargon which often confuses people.
We like to use pictures to help people understand words or sometimes in place of words. The pictures might be symbols but we prefer where possible to use photographs. This is because it is much more helpful and easier for people to understand than symbols although they can be useful at times.
We work alongside a group of people with learning disabilities who check out our documents to make use we use plain English and that they are easy to understand.
Together we are skilled at this now and we are able to help other people and organisations learn how to do it or even make their documents easy 2 read for them.
Please contact us if you would like to speak to us about it.
